Why Hypnotherapy?

Choosing Hypnotherapy

“So, does hypnotherapy actually work?”
“It’s just a gimmick, isn’t it?”
“Hypnotherapy – it’s all in the mind.”
“How can hypnotherapy help me?”

These are just some of the questions I’m asked as a Hypnotherapist, and my answers are:
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“Hypnotherapy can help you – if you want it to.”

How does Hypnotherapy work?

Hypnosis induces a deeply relaxed state and in this state it’s possible to access the deepest recesses of the subconscious mind, where all our life programming is stored – just like one huge computer hard drive.

And just like a computer’s programme can be overridden – it’s possible to override the years of embedded programming within your subconscious. In this way, you can overcome all kinds of problems. As a pharmaceutical medicine can help improve a physical symptom, so Hypnotherapy can overcome an emotional one.

Further Testimonials

“Lesley is a great listener and has helped both me and my son. For me she has helped with weight loss and so far it’s going very well.

As for my son, he suffered anxiety with hospital procedures he has to endure and following sessions with Lesley, and a take-away personalised recording, he has overcome his fears and finds listening to Lesley’s voice very calming.

I was never one to ask for help but I am glad I turned to Lesley; she has helped me turn my life around.”

Mark

“Lesley is so welcoming and brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. She puts you at ease, whilst providing an excellent and highly professional service.”

Louise

“I had never really admitted to myself that I had a real problem with my relationship with food until I was shielding during the Covid-19 outbreak, which compounded my issues. I was already a member of Lesley’s Facebook group at the time, so decided to reach out for some help.

Through the discovery call, Lesley determined my relationship with food, my mental health and self-esteem were all intrinsically linked. Through my sessions with Lesley, she helped me overcome all of these, with the main focus being on my relationship with food. My attitude towards foods and binge eating have been totally transformed. It’s remarkable how much difference she has made to my life.”
